G7 Dirty Filling Sand

This is the calcified lumps from the screening process and is used mainly as a subbase/filling under floors, roads and paving and compacts very well

Philippi Building Sand

This is a higher grade building sand for General building and concrete. The grading for the unprocessed dune sand falls in the SABS envelope for general building, concrete, mortar and plaster application. The sand is fine to coarse-grained, with well-proportioned grain-size variation

Malmesbury River Sand

This is a very course river sand found in the Malmesbury region. It is a high strength sand for brickwork and also horse paddocks due to the large grain that does not blow away as easily as other types of sand

Macassar Building Sand

Cheapest building sand but perfect for concrete application in floors and foundations

Washed Philippi Sand

On order only – 48h notice With the aid of water the Philippi dune sand is forced through 3.2mm aperture screen to ensure that all vegetation is removed. Although the clay/silt content is naturally below the 3% cut-off for the concrete envelope, the washed sand in essence contains no clay/silt. This is the purest form of Philippi dune sand available.

Malmesbury Building Sand

To find an ideal sand that has strong bonding properties for brickwork we mix screened building sand and Malmesbury sand in a 50/50 mix. This is very widely used by most builders and we strongly advise this sand for brickwork

Clean Filling Sand

Same as normal filling but screened and free of lumps, ideal for filling under paving, over pipes and general filling of small areas

Lime Sand

Lime is added to screened dune sand for plastering and superior strength brickwork. Lime Sand has the ability to permeate into crevices and irregularities, thus producing an intimate bond with the masonry units. We strongly advise this sand for neat plasterwork

Lafarge Building Stone

This is the most widely used stone in the building industry. It is ideal for use in high strength concrete as it is extremely hard, does not flake and is not brittle. It can also be used for driveways as cars driving on it will not break it down as some other aggregates. Available in 7,10,14,20,28,37 and 53mm

Palmiet Building Stone

This is a lighter colour stone and is used in both concrete applications and as a landscaping feature in gardens, driveways, pavements, between paving blocks etc. Available in 13,19,37 and 53mm

Brown Decoration Stone

This decoration stone a landscaping feature in gardens, driveways, pavements, between paving blocks etc. It is of the Table Mountain Sandstone range of rock and is softer and breaks down easier than the other type of stone found in the Western Cape. It comes from Paarl and Worcester areas and is available in 13,19,37 and 53mm.

Hornfells Aggregate G5 to G2

This is most widely used material for subbase and base under roads, parking lots and paving. It compacts very well and due to the small PI content binds well to give a smooth bonded surface once properly compacted and slushed.

Laterite Gravel

Laterite is used as an alternative to a Hornfells or Building Rubble aggregate for road building purposes, pavements and walkways, widely used by Civils companies where exposed surfaces like gravel roads, gravel parking lots and pavements are required. It works easily and bonds well to give a natural look

G5 Recycled Aggregate

Used as a very cost effective alternative to a Hornfells or Laterite Aggregate. It is crushed down to a -53mm Subbase from demolished buildings and concrete structures and forms a hard base with high loadbearing capacity compared to normal aggregates

Round river rock

This is the light brownish rock from old river beds found throughout the Western Cape. The medium sized rock is mainly used for filling gabion baskets where retaining walls is constructed. It is also used in stone pitching, water channels and landscaping features.

Table Mountain Sandstone(TMS)

This is basically mountain rock that we break with hydraulic breakers to offer a semi-dressed rock for stone cladding and gabion baskets. It is a beautiful rock and is made up of different colours from light ivory to brown and pinkish to red colours.
- Crushed Chips – 60-120mm ideal for small gabion baskets and reno matresses
- Small to Large boulders 100-600mm

Llundudno (brown)Granite

This very attractive speckled rock is also broken down to offer a semi-dressed rock for stone cladding and gabion baskets

Available in 3 sizes ranging from 100 – 600mm

Brownish Mountain Rock

This angular type rock is natural rock found in the Western Cape and is part of the TMS range generally used in gardens, rock features and ornamental pieces

Available in 3 sizes ranging from 100-600mm

Boulders and Armour Rock

This is the large TMS Boulders used in landscaping and rock revetments along the coast and especially harbour break water walls along the Western Cape. Sizes from 500kg up to 10tons per rock. This rock has a density factor of at least 2,6tons per m3 and has undergone breakage tests to make is suitable for rock revetments.

Hornfells Dark grey-blue Rock

This hardwearing angular rock gives an even dark grey colour and is used for stone cladding and gabion baskets.

Available in 3 sizes ranging from 120-600mm

Afrimat light grey Rock

This hardwearing angular rock gives and even light grey.

Available in 1 size only – 120-200mm

Topsoil

This high quality dark topsoil is screened with a 20mm aperture screen. It is perfect for planting and gardening but might have small lumps of up to 20mm

Lawn Dressing

The same as topsoil but screened to -6mm so its fine enough to be used on lawns

Compost

High quality compost ranging from fine, medium, course to organic

Super Soil Mix

We mix organic or medium compost with top quality topsoil for planting or potting soil

Bark

High grade bark chips as a soil covering between plants
